What is the story of your studio ? JS: In 2009, I had the chance to discover Sao Paulo during my participation in the cultural project 'La France au Brésil'. This was the trigger that incited me to change my life and to find my first customers and projects in Brazil over the next years. In 2013, with Matthieu Pons, we opened our studio RegularSwitch between Sao Paulo and Berlin. We work remotely. Today, we continue to move forward in our projects and we just won a prize at the graphic Biennale of Brazil.

Does working remotely force you to communicate in a specific way in everyday life ? No, it's not a problem. We are working for international clients with our offices in Berlin and in Sao Paulo. Projects are designed through time zones without any distances or languages limits. It's difficult to know whether all these interactions and exchanges between these continents are reflected in our creations. However, it incites us to create a new organization in our work such as using particular tools to coordinate and communicate. Technology is in the middle of our creative process and in our individual profiles.

What types of projects do you prefer to work with ? We appreciate projects with a transversal approach. We like to mix techniques and mediums. Thus, we often choose our projects and our customers to act in this field. We are very involved in the European project PLUG-PLAY. It is a laboratory that explores new digital printing techniques. We combine a wide range of printing techniques in 2D and in 3D, even going to the scenography field. Through this project, we also create digital tools to provide the event a better visibility. The design stage is spread over five months between Lyon, Sao Paulo, Berlin and Madrid. Afterwards, we will all meet to gather our works. This is a project in which we learn as much as we create. We experiment with machines, but we also seek new remotely coordination methods, working with the different stakeholders of the project. It is really exciting.
