What is the story of your studio? We all studied five years in Reims. During this period we started collaborating on different design projects (product, publishing, animation…). We worked as freelances for six months each, then we decided to team up to enter an European contest for students, whose aim was to redesign the visual identity of the École Spéciale d’Architecture. The three of us prepared it at the seaside and we won it. Plastac was born.

You work in the Maison Muller, how does this place decorated in a motley and eccentric way inspires you everyday? This house is like our home. It leads us to meet people, to clear our heads by talking with other tenants (musicians, mixologists, stylists, directors...). We are lucky to have a photo studio available. Every Wednesday one of the three of us cooks for the others, and in the summer we organise work meetings in the courtyard. A house in Montmartre is quite nice as a work environment!

You work in many fields through a variety of mediums, which ones are your favourites? If you had to choose one project to represent yourself what would it be? We do not favor a medium in particular, we especially appreciate to move from one dimension to another, and see our work as a succession of bounces between printed matter, spatial design, digital, object... The project we did for the École Spéciale d’Architecture illustrates the more this rotation because it contains all these dimensions. More recently, we have collaborated with Julie Rothhahn, a culinary designer, on projects where graphic design really comes out of the box: a conference/tasting for the FuturoKlatsh festival in Metz or an immersive dinner in Taïwan for Hermès with projections of animated images associated with the dishes...

Where do you see yourself in five years? Five years seems far, but we just celebrated our ten years and it happened very quickly! In five years, we imagine ourselves continuing working as a team and why not, in our wildest dreams, making a project on a very large scale for the 2024 Olympic Games!
